Car

Keeping your car covered while it’s not in use is one of the best ways to protect the exterior. Your car should also be thoroughly cleaned in advance to remove any bird droppings or water stains that could damage the paint. Filling the gas tank will prevent moisture from forming inside and may save you from having to undergo costly repairs. It’s also a good idea to start your car and let the engine run for a few minutes every couple of weeks in order to prolong the battery’s life.

Just like with a car, you’ll want to cover your motorcycle to protect the seats and other parts of the exterior. Using a metal protectant spray will help prevent any rust from forming. It’s important that the motorcycle is stored in a dry area that has good ventilation. You should also lubricate the chain and change the oil so that sludge won’t form inside the engine.

Boat

One of the most important things to know about storing a boat is that you should keep it out of water in order to prevent barnacle growth or other types of damage. A boat lift can come in handy when storing your boat out of water, and you can check the boat lift prices online to find the best deal possible. The water pumps, engine blocks and coolers should also be drained. It’s best to remove all electronic devices and keep them in a dry and warm place until you’re ready to use your boat again.
