When is the Right Time for Teens to Date?
As parents we tend to
become overly protective when it comes to our teens, but it is also our
responsibility to help them manage relationships and attractions to the
opposite sex. It is an inevitable process and parents, especially moms should
be prepared to make some important decision when it arises.
It helps to have some
experience over dating, love and relationships from your own teenage years –
you know only too well how everything feels. You want your teen to develop a
healthy relationship and have good experiences when it comes to dating and puppy
love. But of course you also want your teens to make wise decisions on who to
date and how to handle situations around the opposite sex. Are they ready for
it?
There might be no exact
blueprint or manual parenting approach to raising teens and deciding when is
the right time or age for them to start dating. However, parents should have a
healthy medium between being too strict and too lax when it comes to dealing
with teens and their relationships. Set healthy boundaries and realistic
expectations. It is very important to open communications so that you can
assess the maturity level of your teen and decide for yourself his or her
readiness to dating and spending time with the opposite sex.

ReplyDeleteI love watching the show "extreme couponing". They really saved huge amount of money. Too bad we don't have that much option here in the Philippines
ReplyDeleteI would go for tiled floorings as it's much easier to maintain.
ReplyDeleteOur family has always preferred wood flooring but we had to compromise with some areas where tiles are more practical.
ReplyDeleteEach have it's advantage and disadvantage. If I have the luxury of time to maintain the carpet, I'll go for that.

I would prefer wood for the house because of the kids around.
ReplyDeleteSo true, choosing the right flooring is a daunting question. Until now hubby and I can't decide on what to do with our floor. I want waterproof vinyl flooring while he wants to have it tiled. We only have 1 week to decide. Thank you for this post. Maybe it could help us decide.
ReplyDeleteTimber flooring is the flooring I often see for apartments. and for me, carpet needs high-maintenance.
ReplyDeletecoupons can be a great help when you are trying to save some money.
ReplyDeleteconsidering that my little man might have allergies from dust mites, i would really opt for tiles at any given time. Timber flooring would be very ideal, but it is also pricey! :)
ReplyDeleteHubby and I are still on the process for our home improvement so the tips that you have mentioned here will be a great help. Although carpets needs high maintenance, I think it nice and comfy to have it when you have very playful kids.
ReplyDeleteHaving a carpet is very important for us. Aside from the cold climate, the carpets also serve as protection for the flooring. Our landlord had just installed new ones and damaging these would cost us.
ReplyDeleteI want timber flooring if ever.. carpet is nice but it is harder to clean eh
ReplyDeleteWe have wood all over except for the kitchen, entry hall and bathroom...we opted out for carpet because of allergens....
ReplyDeleteWe have timber all over except for the kitchen, bathroom and entry hall - with tiles...we opted out against carpet because of allergens...but I guess what's important is keeping the floor clean, whichever there is haha
